Sam is a founding partner of Pioneer and has 29 years’ private equity experience.

Prior to Pioneer, Sam was a non-founding partner at Englefield Capital, where he was instrumental in developing and implementing the investment strategy into the wind, energy and environment sectors. He also held private equity and finance roles at Morgan Stanley, Freeman Spogli, and Salomon Brothers. He was Chairman of YPO Greater London Chapter. Sam is also a Founding Member of The Salang Group, global network supporting The Halo Trust.

Sam has an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar and holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
