In April 2026, Pioneer invested in Rendesco, a UK developer, owner and operator of low-carbon heat networks for new-build residential developments.
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in London, Rendesco specialises in ground source heat pump (“GSHP”) supplied heat networks, offering an end-to-end solution spanning design and build through to long-term operation. The Company works with national and regional housebuilders to deliver low-carbon heating solutions for sites ranging from 50 to 2,000 homes and has installed clean-heating systems at over 175 developments to date.
Pioneer Infrastructure Partners II SCSp committed €100m to acquire a majority stake in the Company and support the delivery of its pipeline. Pioneer’s vision is to scale Rendesco into the UK’s leading renewable heat platform with a substantial owned portfolio of assets that deliver low-carbon heat in perpetuity to new-build residential properties.
