Pioneer Point Partners LLP announces the promotion of Edoardo Luciani to Partner, and the expansion of the wider team with four new hires, including two professionals in the investment team.
Edoardo joined Pioneer in 2010 and has been an integral member of the investment team, making a significant contribution to the Firm’s success over the last 12 years. Edoardo has been involved in a range of Pioneer’s investments and played a partner role in two of Pioneer’s recent investments. Edoardo joined the Firm having previously spent six years in private equity consulting at L.E.K. and Accenture. He holds a BA from Bocconi University in Milan and an MBA from the London Business School. The founding partners of Pioneer are delighted to announce this promotion and have no doubt Edoardo will help drive the business forward in the years to come.
Pioneer also announces two new hires in the investment team, with further headcount expected, following a period of growth and high levels of investment activity. This includes the Final Close of its maiden infrastructure Fund (“the Fund”), which, at €575 million exceeded initial fundraising targets, and the Fund’s third acquisition of Norwegian fish waste management company, ScanBio in May 2022.
Carmen Cheung has joined from Strategy& where for six years she focused on strategic and economic advisory in the utilities sector. Carmen holds a BSc in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science. Jemima Atkins has joined from Allianz Capital Partners where she was a sustainability specialist for four years focused on debt and equity investments. Jemima also spent three years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Acquisition and Infrastructure Finance team. Jemima holds a First Class Honours degree in Natural Sciences from Durham University.
The Pioneer finance team is now also fully staffed following the appointment of Henry Catmur as Fund Controller and Enda Murphy as Senior Finance Analyst.
