Brockwell Holdings, owner of Brockwell Energy, has announced its acquisition of RNA-Energy (“RNA”).

Brockwell has completed on the agreement to buy 100% of RNA in March with a commitment to funding further development and build-out of its pipeline as part of longer-term investment plans for Brockwell.

The deal marks a key milestone in Brockwell’s strategy to strengthen its position as a significant player in the renewable energy sector – increasing its UK footprint and contributing to its goal of developing and building out 5GW of installed renewable generation capacity by 2030.

Brockwell was attracted to RNA not only because of its strong pipeline but also the invaluable expertise and deep sector knowledge provided by the RNA team.

Paul Newman, CCO at Brockwell, who will in addition assume the Managing Director role at RNA under an MSA, said: “I have worked closely with RNA over recent months as the deal developed and believe the addition of its team and pipeline will be transformational in the growth and development of both Brockwell Holdings and Brockwell.”

Roger Ammoun, Founder of RNA-Energy, commented: “We are very proud of the team and the platform we have built and we are convinced that with Brockwell’s deep expertise and institutional backing the team can continue to drive the growth and build-out of the platform.”

Neil Young, COO at Brockwell, added: “We are fully focussed on driving forward the energy transition agenda by building best-in-class platforms in the renewable energy space. This is a major step in delivering on that commitment.
“Above all, the acquisition reflects our group’s pivotal role in the UK’s drive to reach net zero emission targets by 2050.”
