Pioneer Point Partners LLP, the sustainable infrastructure investment firm, is pleased to announce that its portfolio company, Seras, has acquired Enva Group’s dedicated wood processing business effective immediately.
Founded in 2009, Seras is a leading UK supplier of biomass fuel produced from waste wood and forest by-products, supplying approximately 1.7 million tonnes of fuel annually to the UK biomass sector, primarily under long-term contracts.
The acquisition brings Enva’s three sites into the Seras group, including at Tilbury, Middlesbrough and Manchester (formerly Hadfield Wood Recyclers), which can process over 50 tonnes of post-consumer waste wood per hour, and further strengthens Seras’ position as one of the largest waste wood biomass fuel suppliers in the UK.
The transaction expands Seras’ footprint in the North and South East of England as well as it’s processing capacity, and provides an opportunity to enter new sustainable product markets, including animal bedding.
