Pioneer Point Partners LLP, the sustainable infrastructure investment firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Massimiliano Bianco as the new CEO for its portfolio company, Simet Soluzioni Energetiche S.r.l.
Massimiliano contributes more than 30 years of experience in the Italian energy sector. He has led some of Italy’s largest utilities including as CEO of Gruppo Iren, a €1bn+ EBITDA listed entity, and more recently CEO of Suez Italia. He brings with him a strong network and track record of successfully growing utility businesses. Massimiliano will focus on supporting the Company’s growth in other fast-growing sectors of the energy efficiency market, including management of heating infrastructure and the provision of renewable energy to public entities and local communities, as well as innovative smart city services.
Simet is a leading Italian energy efficiency service provider to the public administration sector in Northern Italy. Pioneer acquired Simet, on behalf its maiden institutional fund, Pioneer Infrastructure Partners SCSp, in April 2024.
